By accessing or using BarberBoats.co.nz (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must stop using the Site. We may update these Terms from time to time (see section 13); your continued use of the Site after any change means you accept the revised Terms.

BarberBoats is an independent information, review and affiliate service for New Zealand gambling audiences. We publish editorial guides, reviews, comparisons and news about online casinos, pokies, sports betting and crypto casinos.

Critically, we are not a gambling operator, bookmaker or casino. We do not:

• accept, place, broker or settle bets or wagers of any kind;
• hold, transfer, deposit or withdraw player funds;
• process payments, run games of chance, or issue winnings;
• hold a gambling operator licence in New Zealand or any other jurisdiction.

When you click through to a third-party operator, you leave our Site and enter into a separate relationship with that operator, governed by their terms and conditions. Any account you open, any deposit you make, and any bet you place is entirely between you and that operator. BarberBoats is not a party to that relationship.

The Site is intended for adults only. By using the Site you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, which is the minimum age to gamble online in New Zealand. Please note that New Zealand's land-based casinos require you to be 20 years or older. You are responsible for ensuring that gambling is legal for you in your location and that you meet the age and identity requirements of any operator you choose to use. We do not knowingly direct our services to anyone under 18.

We work hard to keep our content accurate, current and useful, and our reviews reflect genuine editorial testing and research. However, the gambling industry changes constantly. Bonus offers, wagering requirements, odds, payout times, game libraries, licensing status and payment methods can and do change without notice.

For that reason, the Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations that the information on the Site is complete, accurate, reliable, current or error-free.

BarberBoats is reader-supported and monetised through affiliate marketing. This means that when you click certain links on the Site and subsequently register or deposit with an operator, we may receive a commission or referral fee from that operator or its affiliate network. This comes at no additional cost to you.

We disclose this relationship openly. Affiliate commission does not determine our editorial rankings — our ratings are based on our own eight-point review framework (see how we rate). We may, however, prioritise the presentation of operators with whom we have a commercial relationship, and we will always mark commercial links appropriately (for example, with rel="sponsored"). Where you see an advertiser disclosure notice on a page, it applies to the links on that page.

The Site contains links to third-party gambling operators. These operators are independent businesses over which we have no control. The operators we list are generally licensed offshore — for example under the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), Curaçao Gaming Control Board, or Anjouan licensing regimes — rather than by a New Zealand regulator.

New Zealand's regulatory landscape is changing. Under the Online Casino Gambling Act 2026, the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) will licence a capped number of online casino operators, with the regulated market expected to go live on 1 December 2026. Until domestically licensed operators are available, the operators referenced on the Site rely on offshore licences. We do not warrant the conduct, solvency, licensing status or payout practices of any third-party operator, and your use of any operator is at your own risk. We encourage you to verify an operator's licence and reputation before you register.

All content on the Site — including text, editorial reviews, ratings, graphics, layout, logos and the BarberBoats name — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by New Zealand and international intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, scrape, resell, or systematically extract our content without our prior written permission. Third-party trademarks, operator names and logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and editorial purposes only.

When using the Site, you agree that you will not:

• use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers or any connected systems;
• introduce viruses, malware or any other harmful code;
• use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to harvest content except as permitted by our robots.txt;
• impersonate any person, or misuse our contact forms to send spam or abusive content;
• interfere with the proper working or security of the Site.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BarberBoats, its owners, editors and contributors will not be liable for any loss or damage — including any gambling losses, loss of profits, loss of data, or indirect or consequential loss — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or your reliance on any information on it, or arising from your dealings with any third-party operator.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights or remedies you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply and cannot lawfully be excluded. Because gambling always involves risk, we can never guarantee that you will win, profit or recover your stake.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BarberBoats and its owners, editors and contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages and reasonable expenses (including legal costs) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your breach of any applicable law or the terms of any third-party operator.

Gambling should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to make money. Only ever gamble with money you can afford to lose, set deposit and time limits, and never chase your losses. These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. You and BarberBoats submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts in relation to any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Site or these Terms.

We may amend these Terms at any time to reflect changes in the law, our services, or industry practice. The current version will always be published on this page with the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes take effect when we post them, and your continued use of the Site confirms your acceptance.
